Abstracts

The scientific committee welcomes the submission of high quality abstracts focusing on the different topics below. Abstracts can be submitted until 23:59 CET on 22nd January 2024. Please note that this is the final deadline. Abstract is to be submitted via email on euffmalta2024@gmail.com.

Author/s of accepted abstracts who will be delivering the oral presentation are expected to register for the conference. The abstracts will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Overall quality
  • Methodological quality
  • Use of the conference format
  • Relevance for the aims of the conference
  • Level of English

Prizes will be given to the best submitted oral presentation and best poster.

In case of an update, your abstract will then be reviewed again by the scientific committee and information about acceptance will be giving according the new time schedule of the conference.
o In case of a reconfirmation, your abstract stays accepted.

Presentation types

There are 2 options for abstract submissions:

  • Oral presentation: Presenters in these dedicated sessions receive 10 minutes to present their work (project, research, quality improvement initiative, innovative ideas, …), followed by 5 minutes for questioning by the audience. All selected abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. Oral presentations will not be accepted from presenters who are not attending the congress.
  • Poster presentation: Presenters in these dedicated sessions will be invited to develop a poster to present their work (project, research, quality improvement initiative, innovative ideas, …). Presenters will need to present their work during the dedicated sessions and a broad audience will be guided through the posters and discussion will be encouraged. Posters will not be accepted from presenters who are not attending the congress. Please note that the max. poster size is A0 (841 x 1189) in portrait – not landscape. The panel size is 1m width and 2m height. Poster presenters can hang up their poster in the morning or during the morning coffee break prior to the lunch/poster session. All posters needs to be removed after the last poster session. In the building, you will find a list with poster numbers. You can look up your poster and attach it to the panel with the corresponding number. Attachment materials will be provided by us. Posters should be brought to the conference and not mailed. Presenters are responsible for posting and removing their own materials.
